Major maintenance works to reline sections of the Crumlin Arm

Good news that Caerphilly County Borough Council are doing major maintenance works on the Crumlin Arm from Pontywaun Aqueduct to Green Meadow Bridge.

Caerphilly County Borough Council are pleased to announce that a contract has been awarded to undertake major maintenance works to reline sections of the Crumlin Arm of the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal, as part of our adopted Canal Management Plan.

Works will commence on site 23 March 2021 for a period of 32 weeks under a temporary towpath closure, extending from the Pontywaun Aqueduct down to Green Meadow Bridge.

Mae Cyngor Caerffili yn falch o gyhoeddi bod contract wedi’i ddyfarnu i wneud gwaith cynnal a chadw mawr i ail-leinio rhannau o Fraich Crymlyn o Gamlas Sir Fynwy a Brycheiniog, fel rhan o’i Gynllun Rheoli Camlesi mabwysiedig.

Bydd y gwaith yn cychwyn ar y safle ar 23.03.21 am gyfnod o 32 wythnos wrth gau’r llwybr halio dros dro, rhwng Traphont Ddŵr Pont-y-waun a Phont Green Meadow.
