Registration: Teams will be required to register and collect their numbers on the day. Registration is open between: 7:00am and 8:30am at the start area.

Note: The Team Manager will also have to register and collect a number to enable them to collect your bikes from the end of the Bike Leg – this is for your bike security.

Start Time: 1st Team off at 8:00 am at 1 minute intervals: allow at least 30 minutes to park, register and ‘ready your boats’ for the off! If your time slot is missed then you will have to start last! See Start List for team start times.

How to get here: (walk from parking to start is approximately 10 minutes)

Transition 1: Open Canoe to Bike.

Where: Goytre Wharf, Abergavenny NP7 9EW (see map below)

What does my team need to do? Your team needs to make sure that your bicycles and any related equipment (for example helmets) are ready for you at the transition area for the start of the second cycling stage. Please note that the bicycle transition area is approx. 2 minutes’ walk from car park.

Transition will be open from 7am to 12:00pm. You will be issued ‘sticky’ numbers (same as your team number) to be attached to your bikes. This is to ensure that you bikes and your team manager collects the right bikes at the end of the bike leg.

We suggest the easiest way to get here by vehicle is to follow the route below as indicated - participants will arrive by canal! Estimated arrival times are between 9:20am and 11:30am

Transition 2: Bike to Walk / Run

Where: Llangynider (but different from last year!) The transition area will be slightly sooner as you approach the village and will be signed off the canal accordingly into a large field.

What does my team need to do? Your team needs to collect your bicycles and any related equipment (for example helmets) at the end of the cycle leg. Remember managers will need your team numbers that you were issued with at registration.

Transition will be open between 10am and 5:00pm. Estimated arrival times are between 11:00 am and 3:30pm. Any later than this and there is a big risk that you will not complete the event before the final cut off time of 9:00pm

The field will be manned until 8:00pm where all bikes will need to be collected (or left unattended at the owner’s risk!)

FINISH!

Where: Brecon Rugby Club, 63 Watton, Brecon, Powys LD3 7EL
