We don’t currently have any paid vacancies.
We are looking for an Information Officer to manage communication with our Members, stakeholders and the press. This voluntary post would suit someone with good writing skills, who is comfortable working with word processors such as MS Word, email, and is familiar with posting to social media such as our Facebook page, Instagram and our News on this site. The role involves actively seeking out stories about the Trust and its activities, writing these up and presenting them in an engaging and accessible style for posting to social media and publication to our Reed Warbler magazine. A detailed briefing about the Trust and its activities will be given.
Please contact us to discuss this opportunity.
Other Volunteering Opportunities
Our Trust only exists and functions because of the dedication of our volunteers. We welcome offers of assistance whether it be to work on the canals cleaning up rubbish, cutting back undergrowth, organising events, undertaking administrative work, helping to run our Community Trip Boats, or assisting in looking after our Fourteen Locks Canal Information Centre in Newport. There is a whole host of roles that we need help with. You can read more about our general volunteering roles on our Volunteering Opportunities page. If you can spare some time, please contact us to discuss the options available. You will find us a very friendly and welcoming group of canal enthusiasts.
