Our charcoal is sustainably sourced hardwood from a local woodland. Our honey is locally produced in Risca. We have canal history books and walking books from local authors describing our diverse and beautiful landscape in detail.
We also hire out gallery display boards for artists or local community groups to sell their work.

The Mon and Brec Canal Guide
This is an established, well known and popular guide book to the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal, originally published by MBACT member John Norris in 1991. Since its original publication, the guide has been regularly updated with new editions appearing every few years. More recently the guide was edited by MBACT member Phil Hughes. The Guide is now published by Mon & Brec Canal enthusiast Ashley Curtis, who has recently produced a new edition.
The guide is a perfect companion to exploring the canal by boat, bicycle or on foot. It features Ordnance Survey based mapping which follows the route of the canal, and usefully plots the location of bridges and locks together with their associated number and name. Also included is a brief industrial and ecological history, and an informative commentary pointing out features of interest along the route. It not only covers the navigable canal from Brecon down to Cwmbran, but also has a section on the southern unrestored section. The Guide also has a unique supplement page folded into the back cover containing very recent information. A regularly updated version of the supplement can be downloaded from the publisher’s website at https://www.monandbrecguide.co.uk/.
The new edition is available at our Fourteen Locks shop – priced at £8.
