MBACT views this post as crucial in achieving the ultimate aim of full canal restoration.
Chris says he is very excited to be in post and looks forward to working on the canal project(s) with the various stakeholders including MBACT.
His background is in project management, working within both the public and private sector. He is passionate about the canal and what it can provide to the community and further afield, recognising it as a natural resource for ecology, heritage, active travel, recreation, tourism, and the benefits to mental health. He regularly uses the canal via walking, running, cycling and paddle boarding.
