Recent canal re-lining works by Caerphilly County Borough Council at Pontywaun required the removal of a slipway at Hall’s Road Terrace, Pontywaun. Current ash dieback works – December 2022 to March 2023 Newport City Council (NCC) will be carrying out work along the Crumlin Arm of the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal to remove trees which have been infected by ash dieback.
